Our Approach and Culture

Morton Fraser is known as a firm that is good to work for, which makes us good to work with.  We were the only Scottish based law firm to be awarded one star status in the Best Companies survey 2008. Our general culture is considered a key strength - the firm has a pleasant, inclusive and supportive culture, based on team working.

Morton Fraser is a legal partnership where the owners are the Partners and they actively work within the business and head up our teams. They operate a consultative and participative style of management and are very accessible to all team members.

A genuine emphasis is placed on the values of mutual trust and respect and this enhances teamwork and job satisfaction. This is supported with evidence from "entry interviews" where most people state that they highly rate the firm's culture.

We have an employee forum, with representatives from each division, chaired by the Chief Executive, which allows employees to discuss issues with management and for management to consult on proposed changes.
