Our Family Law team were presented with the award for the "Family Law Team of the Year" at the Law Awards of Scotland 2007.

Conveyancing Team of the Year 2007 - Morton Fraser
Our residential property division - Property + - were presented with the award for the "Conveyancing Team of the Year" Sponsored by First Scottish Searching Services at the Law Awards of Scotland 2007.

january 2006

Our residential property division - Property + - were presented with the award for the "Residential Property Team of the Year" sponsored by ESPC at the Cuthbert Scottish Legal Awards 2006. Five members of the team collected the trophy at a Gala lunch in Glasgow.

Morton Fraser has been awarded the Private Client Firm of the Year Award at the Law Awards of Scotland 2005. This was presented to David Hossack on 1 September 2005 at a gala dinner in Glasgow.

april 2005

Morton Fraser has been recognised for our HR work by winning the ASA HR Excellence Award (small business category). The award was presented by CIPD Director-General, Geoff Armstrong to our HR Director, Elspeth Dalgleish, at an award ceremony in The Hub in Edinburgh. One of the award judges Eilidh Wiseman, partner and head of employment law at Dundas & Wilson, said "Morton Fraser demonstrated to the panel a real commitment to develop talent by implementing a transparent and competency based career structure underpinned by an open management style". Other members of the judging panel were Professor Jim McGoldrick, Chairman of NHS Fife; Peter Cabrelli, former group HR Director at HBoS; Colin Moreland, Chair of CIPD Partnership in Scotland and Iain Moir, Managing Director of ASA International.

Morton Fraser second year trainee, Christopher Rae, won the 'Trainee of the Year' award at The Scottish Legal Awards 2005. The panel of judges included, amongst others, Amanda Harvie of Scottish Enterprise, Professor Robert Black and Margo MacDonald, and the award was presented on 4 February 2005 at the EICC in Edinburgh. Morton Fraser received 2 Gold Awards and 1 Silver Award at the inaugural Law Awards of Scotland Awards' Dinner which took place in Glasgow on 2 September 2004. The 2 gold awards which the firm won were for Employment Team of the Year and Family Law Team of the Year and the silver award was for Alternative Dispute Resolution Firm of the Year.

In 2002, Morton Fraser was the only UK law firm to win 2 awards for our extranet reporting system and the only Scottish law firm to be nominated at the In Brief UK technology 'LOTIE' awards.
