It's a 'Wonderful Life' Rss_logo

Welcome to Morton Fraser's blog for Individuals and Families.

sue hunterI'm Sue Hunter, Head of Services for Individuals and Families at Morton Fraser.

People are often amazed at the range of advice and support our team of experts can provide, and are regularly surprised that a life of law is far from all doom and gloom! This blog offers information and guidance on some of the legal issues which you may need to think about at the different stages in your life, some obvious and some not so obvious.  From time to time I will post guest blogs, and I hope that you, too, will join the conversation and post comments as we go.

As ever, these blogs may inspire your thoughts on how to support a friend or family member as much as yourself - I would genuinely love to hear from you about any scenarios you would like us to explore as you, your friends or your family navigate life's different stages, situations, opportunities and choices.

I am saddened to read reports that my favourite comedian, Billy Connolly, was struggling to remember his jokes during a recent live gig - but it did remind me of how important it is for everyone to have a Power of Attorney in place.

Wills for Complex Families

Gone are the days when the typical client seeking a Will was married (once) with 2.4 children. Although many clients continue to fit this profile, increasing divorce and re-marriage rates mean that a good number have more complex family circumstances.
