Expert Determination

Considering innovative solutions to our client’s legal issues is something which we actively encourage.  We are regularly involved in partaking in negotiations, both formal and informal with a view to resolving issues.  Where parties have a dispute over a technical issue and they have no desire to enter formal dispute processes such as arbitration or litigation we can assist with reference to an expert for determination.

Expert determination is similar to arbitration as a process but without the formalities and jurisdictional challenges.  Parties can refer a dispute, usually over a technical rather than legal issue, to a third party to determine.  We are regularly involved in expert determination, particularly in property related disputes.
