Supreme Court of the United Kingdom to sit in Edinburgh

The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom is the UK's highest Court.  Next week, from 12 to 15 June, the Supreme Court will sit in Edinburgh.  This will be the first time the Supreme Court has sat outside London.

Morton Fraser is pleased to be representing one of the parties in one of the appeals which is to be heard in Edinburgh next week.

The appeals to be heard relate to the lawfulness of supplementary planning guidance, sham marriages, and rehabilitation of prisoners.

The appeals will be heard in City of Edinburgh Council's City Chambers and will be open for the public to attend.
