Morton Fraser's Charity of the Year, Bethany Trust is hosting a series of valuation days throughout September to raise money for their important work. Morton Fraser staff and their families have been busy searching their homes for potential treasures in support. Mark Medcalf, a Scottish antique and fine art professional, will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors. The first event will take place on Saturday 4th September from 10am until 12.30pm at 40 York Place and at Buccleuch Free Church in Summerhill later that afternoon between 1.00pm and 3.30pm. The final valuation day will take place on Saturday 18th September at Morningside Baptist Church 10am - 1.00pm.
Those items thought to be particularly special will be eligible for sale at Bethany's Fine Art and Antique Auction on 2nd October, hosted by Adam Schoon, who has worked with the Antiques Road Show for 11 years.
The events will also include stalls, homebaking and family activities and tickets, which are priced at £5 for a family, £3 for individuals and £1 for concessions are available on the door.
