Posted: Wednesday 30 November 2011

As one of Scotland’s leading law firms, Morton Fraser is delighted to announce Jamie Kerr has joined its immigration law team (ranked in the top band by Chambers and Partners legal directory).

Jamie has specialised in all aspects of immigration and asylum law for individuals, companies and charities since he began his legal career.  He is particularly interested in human rights law and tutors postgraduate law students on the subject at the University of Glasgow.

Linda Urquhart, Chairman of Morton Fraser, said: “We are delighted that Jamie is joining our firm as an Associate. His experience further strengthens our immigration advice offering to businesses and individuals, particularly with his human rights expertise.”

Jamie is currently a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Constitutional Law Sub Committee. He is an active member of the Scottish Immigration Law Practitioners' Association and is a regular speaker at seminars and training events. He has also previously been nominated "Up and Coming Lawyer of the Year".
