Scottish housing market "expected to pick up"
BBC news has recently reported that Scottish house sales were expected to pick up over the next few months but "meaningful recovery" was still some way off.
The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) reported a small increase in the number of houses put on the market in November.
This is despite the lead-up to Christmas usually being a quiet period for house sales.
Residential Property expert Karen Turner commented: “we are still experiencing activity in the market, with new sales enquiries and clients still looking to buy. The market remains slow in general, but the signs for the spring market are more encouraging. The lack of new stock over the winter months will see existing stock begin to diminish, which is good news for clients who have been marketing for several months. Realistic sellers have a better chance of achieving a sale.”
