Morton Fraser's Chairman, Linda Urquhart, has another reason to celebrate this month. Not only has she been awarded an OBE for services to business in Scotland, but she has just been named in the Scottish Herald's Top 50 Women of Influence.
The Herald describes Linda as "The first female chair of Investors in People Scotland, Urquhart is also chair of Morton Fraser solicitors. An award-winning businesswoman, she was formerly the first woman to be chair of CBI Scotland and the first woman to become a managing partner in a Scottish law firm, earning her the nickname "first lady of law". Her work earned her an OBE in the New Year Honours List. Most likely to: Hold her own in the board room."
Well I think everyone at Morton Fraser wholeheartedly agrees - she can definitely hold her own in the board room!
Linda commented: "I'm delighted to be in such great company in the Top 50 and, with my honour earlier in the month, it has certainly got the year off to a great start."
