Elderly people with dementia are more likely to suffer falls if they are given anti-depressants by care home staff, a study recently featured by the BBC news reported. Reports such as this can create a heightened sense of concern for people about planning for later life or how best to support a relative currently in a care home or nursing home.

Understanding the legal implications of decision making surrounding the administration of medicines is just one aspect of later life which many people are simply not aware of.
It can be a sobering thought for many people that they have hit or are nearing the later life stage. Don't let that put you off the planning though, if you can get things set up correctly now, then you can forget about the things which would otherwise worry you.
