Within hours of opening his account late on Monday, Mr Singh, Prime Minister of India, had tweeted three times and gained 6,000 followers. Mr Singh's account, @PMOIndia (which refers to the prime minister's office) will be handled by his communications team in an effort to inform people about the work his offices is involved in, aides say.
Surprised? We're not.
