Stamp Duty exemptions
Time is running out for first time buyers to take advantage of the current exemption from the 1% Stamp Duty rate (applicable to properties which sell for up to £250,000), which could net you a potential saving of up to £2500. There is still time to buy your new home before the deal ends, but you have to be quick -- first time buyers will no longer benefit from this privilege from 24 March 2012.
