Morton Fraser announces their Charity of the Year

Posted: Monday 15 February 2010

Morton Fraser has elected Bethany as their chosen Charity of the Year for 2010.  The homeless charity was selected by the firm's 'Giving Something Back' forum which aims to promote and encourage community involvement and environmental awareness among staff.  Morton Fraser's Chief Executive Linda Urquhart said of the decision: "We are delighted to support the important work of Bethany and not just in terms of fundraising.  Our focus is very much on engaged philanthropy on a local level and on giving more than just financial support".

Winner of the Scottish Charity of the Year award 2009, Bethany supports homeless and vulnerable people across Scotland by offering a range of services, from practical support such as emergency accommodation for the homeless to longer term support to equip them with the skills they need to live independently with society.  Bethany's Chief Executive Iain Gordon said of the news: "We are very pleased to gain support from Morton Fraser and welcome their involvement with Bethany. The partnership will be of significant benefit in helping us transform lives right at the heart of communities across Scotland.".

Morton Fraser will be working closely with the charity over the coming year to maximise the potential of this important collaboration.
