Employment law first for Morton Fraser with Apple launch

Posted: Monday 24 May 2010

Employment law specialist Morton Fraser is using Apple applications technology to give clients instant access to employment law information.

They are the first firm in the UK to launch a free Apple application to help keep clients up to date with the latest legal developments, along with employment law checklists and facts and figures where ever they are.

“Our clients are becoming increasingly sophisticated in the way they access information and we are constantly striving to meet their needs, we believe this latest innovation will add value to the service we offer human resource professionals,” said head of employment law, Innes Clark.

Apple sold 8.75 million Iphones in the last three months and sales now make up 40% of the company’s revenue. It now accounts for around a quarter of all mobile devices sold.

Some of the services the application offers includes information about Employment Tribunal awards, family friendly leave rights, a disciplinary meeting checklist, a redundancy checklist and an outline of the statutory retirement process.

It also automatically gives access to the firm’s monthly Employment E-bulletin which provides details of the latest employment law developments.

“With the Iphone now available across a number of different networks it is one of the fastest growing ways of accessing information on the move and an ideal platform to add to the range of ways we communicate with our clients,” said Innes.

The application has been developed in collaboration with R2b Media Ltd.

The app is available free to iphone users for download now. The app is available to download HERE.

For clients and contacts who have not joined the iphone revolution if you would like to receive our monthly Employment E-bulletin you can subscribe to this HERE.
