Morton Fraser has completed a share purchase for Canongate Books Limited, the award-winning Edinburgh-based publisher.
The transaction dealt with the acquisition of the audio-book publisher, CSA, based in London from its owner, founder and publisher Clive Stanhope. CSA has developed a very strong reputation for the quality and range of its audio publishing for the past 20 years.
Jamie Byng, MD of Canongate, comments "Audio has been an area of publishing that has always interested us at Canongate... But acquiring CSA, and bringing over its excellent team, provides us with a wonderful opportunity to develop an audio list of even greater substance. And as we move into an increasingly digital world, I believe that audio has more potential than ever."
The acquisition was advised by the Corporate Team at Morton Fraser, led by Austin Flynn.
