Business Expertise

Angela has carried out property due diligence for a variety of asset types, including care homes, hotels, night clubs, bars, restaurants, shops and farms. Angela also regularly reviews and prepares reports for funders on leases (and associated lease management documentation), deeds of servitude, option agreements, ranking agreements, discharges and deeds of release. She also regularly acts for a social enterprise client in property security backed lending transactions. 

Previously Angela has acted for a specialist fund in the acquisition of a distressed debt portfolio, carrying out loan and security reviews as part of the disposal of a distressed debt portfolio and providing specialist advice to UK and international law firms on the Scottish elements of international financial transactions.

Real Estate Expertise

Angela also has general real estate experience and previously completed a 6 month secondment in Morton Fraser's Commercial Real Estate team. In that role she mainly acted for real estate clients in the voluntary registration, disposal, transfer, acquisition and securitisation of new and existing heritable assets. She also has expertise in acting for borrower clients in multi-jurisdictional transactions, having recently completed the Scottish due diligence aspects for a real estate client who was obtaining a funding package from an American lender.  

Angela has also completed two in-house secondments in TSB Bank's legal products and business banking teams. 

Angela also regularly assists the firm's debt recovery team in preparing standard securities.
