Overview

Chris became Chief Executive of the firm at the beginning of 2013 and has responsibility for driving the firm's strategic growth.  

He has also been a partner in our Commercial Real Estate Team since 1999, advising clients on a wide range of real estate projects with particular expertise in the hotel, licensed and leisure sectors. He also has a broad range of experience acting for owners, occupiers and developers on development projects.

Chris is also a Council Member of CBI Scotland.

Business

Chris became a partner in our Commercial Real Estate Team in 1999 and has been Chief Executive of Morton Fraser since 2013. 

He remains particularly active in the hospitality and leisure sectors, and regularly oversees the sale and acquisition of substantial property portfolios. Chris also has wide experience in hotel development work and has advised developers on management agreements with a number of leading hotel brands. According to Chambers, "Morton Fraser's fantastic reputation in this field is widely attributed to his superb knowledge of the hotel and leisure industries". 

Commercial Real Estate

Chris became a partner in our Commercial Real Estate Team in 1999 and has been Chief Executive of Morton Fraser since 2013.

He has a broad range of experience which includes: acting for large organisations in managing their property portfolios; sale and leasebacks; major investment deals; and acting for owners, occupiers and developers on development projects, including pre-lets of property being developed for end occupiers. Chris also has wide experience in hotel development work and has advised developers on hotel management agreements with a number of leading hotel brands. 

Public Sector

Chris became a partner in our Commercial Real Estate Team in 1999 and has been Chief Executive of Morton Fraser since 2013.

He has extensive experience in acting for public sector bodies on large scale property development projects and through that also has specific expertise in advising on the public procurement aspects of property projects, as well as on the potential impact of state aid issues on property projects involving the public sector.
