He is highly regarded in his expertise and has been accredited by the Law Society of Scotland in employment law and commercial litigation. David actively approaches disputes through negotiation in resolving employment, personal and commercial disputes outside of the courts.
David also leads our acclaimed Licensing team which is top ranked by the legal directories. Acting in this capacity he provides a bespoke service for clients ranging from small businesses to leading multinationals, and regularly appears before Licensing Boards.

David is an accredited specialist in Employment Law and advises public sector organisations on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
David's advice is based on the idea of constructive problem solving and encompasses a whole range of employment matters such as advising on unfair dismissal, workplace discrimination and restructuring.

Individuals & Families Expertise
David has a long history of advising individuals in relation to a wide range of disputes and trained as a mediator in 2004.
Whilst David is experienced in dealing with Courts and Tribunals, his preferred approach stems from the perspective of working with clients to bring about the most fitting outcomes for them. Where he is unable to achieve a fitting outcome through negotiation, David will use mediation as an alternative remedy.
David is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbiters and has been quoted in the Chambers Legal Directory as having 'calm influence' on proceedings.
