He specialises in construction and projects and is also head of Morton Fraser's construction team.
Jonathan acts for a wide variety of clients across the construction and real estate sectors, particularly developers and occupiers in both the public and private sectors and also investors and funders.
He has vast experience in development and investment work across all sectors of the UK real estate market including offices, industrial, leisure and hospitality, student living and BTR generally.
Jonathan has significant experience in unravelling and resolving contract structures following contractor and/or developer insolvency so that projects can be taken to successful completion. Recent experience has included a new build laboratory where the contractor successfully traded in administration to PC, and a hotel forward funding project where both the developer and contractor suffered insolvency.
Public Sector Expertise
Jonathan is a construction and projects specialist.
He has been heavily involved in public sector work for over 15 years and is a former head of Morton Fraser's public sector focus group. Key clients comprise a wide range of local authorities, including The City of Edinburgh Council, for whom he has been Morton Fraser's client relationship manager, and also the Scottish Ministers.
Jonathan has worked on a range of large scale public sector developments, primarily schools, mixed use developments and major infrastructure projects.
He is an expert on all recognised industry forms of construction and engineering contracts.
