Lauren regularly acts for lenders, financial institutions,  banks and borrowers on all types of debt transactions throughout the United Kingdom, with particular emphasis on corporate debt, all aspects of distressed debt (with particular expertise in acquisition due diligence, transfer of loan portfolios and post-acquisition compromises) real estate and social housing finance. 

Lauren also assists our asset finance team and regularly advises mainstream funders and asset financiers on asset and invoice finance transactions and is often involved in the drafting and negotiation of leasing and security documentation both north and south of the border.

Lauren regularly assists and advises English and overseas lawyers on the Scottish aspects of cross border and international finance transactions.

Public Sector Expertise

Lauren regularly advises lenders and financiers in the social housing industry and is also regularly involved in advising on the funding and security implications of solar panel projects in that sector. She has acted for local authorities and Scottish Government in various matters over the years.
