Nicola's practice covers all aspects of commercial litigation.  She acts on behalf of a wide range of clients, including SMEs, PLCs, and insolvency practitioners. Her specialisms include commercial contract disputes, landlord/ tenant disputes and insolvency litigation (both personal and corporate). She also has significant experience of asset finance litigation and providing transactional support to our corporate and property teams, particularly in the context of sales by insolvency practitioners.

Nicola has been involved in cases at all levels - the Sheriff Courts, the Inner and Outer Houses of the Court of Session and the Supreme Court. She understands the need to make sure her clients understand the strength of their position, the options available to them and, crucially, the likely cost of achieving their goals. This means that clients are always provided with clear, strategic and commercial advice. 

Ever mindful of the cost of litigation, Nicola and her team can offer a range of commercial litigation funding options and have experience of working with litigation funders. This means that clients can get the funding option which works best for them. To help level the playing field and ensure everyone has access to the courts, in appropriate cases Nicola and her team will act on a success fee basis. This means that, in those cases, our clients don't pay any upfront fees and we're only paid in the event we make a financial recovery.

Nicola regularly lectures in personal and corporate insolvency and also provides training to clients.
