Over The Border Rss_logo

Welcome to Morton Fraser's blog for cross border and international law.

lucia clarkI’m Lucia Clark, an Associate in our top-ranked Family Law Team at Morton Fraser.

Morton Fraser has lawyers dual qualified in Scots and English law enabling us to act for a number of clients and other lawyers on both sides of the UK border. This is appreciated by clients based in Scotland, but who are dealing with issues under English law or in the English courts.  We act in a growing number of complex and high value cases with international or English law aspects, where our expert knowledge of these issues is vital.

Along with guest bloggers providing updates in their cross-border specialism, I’ll be chatting about international family law, hopefully in an interesting and informative way!  If you have any suggestions, or if you would like to discuss anything mentioned in this blog in more detail please contact me at lucia.clark@morton-fraser.com

To English family lawyers - please be less polite!

This is a heartfelt plea to English matrimonial solicitors - please, please, be less polite. Take a hint from Scots family lawyers - be rude!
