Elaine deals in non-contentious construction law, primarily in the drafting, review and negotiation of the full spectrum of construction documentation. She represents parties directly involved in the build projects such as developers, contractors and consultants, parties providing funding to development projects and also end users such as purchasers and tenants. She has been involved in several complex due diligence exercises for high profile projects and has considerable experience in the review and negotiation of performance and guarantee bond documents for large banking organisations.
To complement her construction knowledge, Elaine also advises our clients on a wide range of specific procurement issues and she has an in-depth knowledge of EU and UK Procurement Directives and Regulations respectively.
Elaine also assists our Planning and Environmental team in respect of contentious and non-contentious planning matters. Elaine is able to combine this specialist knowledge with her experience in construction law.
The ability that Elaine has over three legal areas allows her to be a “one port of call” in respect of many of our client’s instructions, as she can assist through many stages of a development process. This adds to the seamless service that we provide for our clients.
