Innes is a specialist employment lawyer and heads up our award winning employment law team based in our Edinburgh, Glasgow and London offices. He advises both employers and employees on a wide range of employment  law  issues, including unfair dismissal, redundancy, workplace discrimination and compromise agreements.

He acts for clients at all stages of the employment relationship including negotiating severance arrangements and representation before Employment Tribunals.

Innes also works with our corporate and commercial team in relation to the employment law implications of business acquisitions and disposals.

Innes is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in employment law. Innes is also Signet Accredited in employment law and is also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

Innes lectures in employment law on the University of Edinburgh Diploma in Professional Legal Practice and on the Professional Competence Course. Innes also leads the employment law paralegal course run by Central Law Training in conjunction with the University of Strathclyde.
