David is a Partner within the Litigation Division and is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Employment Law and Commercial Mediation. He supports a varied practice including employment and licensing law, litigation and alternative dispute resolution.

David's background is in employment law and he advises businesses, public sector organisations and individuals on both contentious and non contentious employment matters. He regularly represents clients in employment tribunals across the UK.

David is also an accredited and practising mediator. With significant experience of a wide range of areas of litigation, he is active in resolving employment, personal and commercial disputes outside of the courts.

Utilising mediation, he has brought numerous disputes to a successful resolution, saving his clients time and money. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and is described in the Chambers and Partners Legal Directory as "a helpful and effective mediator who quickly wins clients' confidence."

David also leads our acclaimed Licensing Team which is constantly top ranked by the legal directories. Acting in this capacity he provides a bespoke service for clients ranging from small businesses to leading multinationals, and regularly appears before the Licensing Board.
