Brian is a member of our real estate team. He specialises in development work, investment sales and purchases, property finance and leasing arrangements. The 2011 edition of Legal 500 notes that he is regarded as being a “high calibre commercial property expert”.

Brian’s experience also includes acting for Morston Assets in relation to the £400m regeneration of a former brick works at Whitecross, including the creation of a school, leisure facilities, roads and other infrastructure in addition to residential and commercial elements.

His experience includes acting on behalf of Curo Property Fund in the acquisition of a £27m portfolio in Rosyth. Brian acts on behalf of a number of organisations in connection with their ongoing estates management work, including Royal Mail Group, Nationwide Building Society and Superdrug.

Brian dealt with the property aspects of the break up and disposal of Real Time Worlds by its administrators and recently acted in the pre-pack acquisition of a substantial hotel and pub portfolio by G1 Group.
 
Brian also has worked extensively with public sector organisations such as the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and Renfrewshire Leisure on a range of leasing, funding and development related matters.

Brian has been seconded to the Miller Group, where he gained expertise on forward sales, forward funding and complex option and clawback arrangements.

Brian is a member of the Scottish Board of the Investment Property Forum (IPF).
