Duncan is the Chief Executive of Morton Fraser and a Partner in the Employment team. He is responsible for the firm’s strategy and, working with a team of professional managers, he ensures the smooth running of our organisation. Earlier this year he undertook the Harvard Business School Programme "Leading Professional Services Firms".
He is a highly regarded litigator, utilises his financial numeracy skills to the advantage of his clients, and has been described as "formidable, punctilious and highly principled".
He works particularly closely with many of our high profile public sector clients and frequently advises them on key legal issues involving political sensitivities and policy ramifications.
Duncan is an accredited specialist in both Employment law and Discrimination law, and his broader practice covers Human Rights and Constitutional Law issues, Judicial Review, high value disputes, and Data Protection and FOI issues.
Duncan was President of the Law Society of Scotland 2004-2005 and is a part-time Sheriff.
