Scott is a member of our private client team. He specialises in trusts and personal taxation, particularly tax and estate planning and the formation and management of trusts and charities.

He advises individuals, families and institutional clients, including banks and life assurance companies.

Scott has acted as Convener of the Law Society of Scotland's Tax Law Committee and is currently Convener of the Trusts and Succession Committee. He is a member of the Advisory Committee to the Scottish Law Commission Trust Law Review, a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and an academician of the US-based International Academy of Estate and Trust Law.

Scott  is a member of the Law Society Charity Law Committee and director and trustee of several charities.
