Immigration & Residency Advice, Immigration Law

Jamie is a specialist immigration lawyer advising in the field of immigration, asylum, nationality and human rights law.

He has extensive experience providing specialist immigration advice to his wide client base which includes individuals, employers, charities and community groups. He advises public and private companies on global talent strategy and is one of a handful of Scottish Solicitors who have experience in the sponsorship management system and in challenging sponsorship suspensions and withdrawals.

He appears regularly in the Immigration Chambers of both the First Tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal and has significant knowledge of Judicial Review in the Court of Session.

Jamie is currently a member of the Law Society of Scotland's Constitutional Law Sub Committee and a former member of their Human Rights Law Sub Committee.

He is an active member of the Scottish Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association and has previously been nominated for 'Up and Coming Lawyer of the Year'. He tutors human rights law on the Diploma in Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow and is a regular speaker at seminars and training events.

Jamie provides immigration advice from both our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.
