Kate is a recognised legal specialist in the Social Housing and Community Regeneration sectors. She specialises in all aspects of social and affordable housing with particular emphasis on development site acquisitions, full and partial stock transfers, grant funding housing initiatives (including shared ownership, shared equity and flexible tenure schemes), corporate structures (including partnering and shared services agreements, mergers and group creation and re-organisations) and governance matters.

Kate acts for numerous social landlords and their funders and public sector bodies and has acted for Fife Council and East Lothian Council as well as the National Housing Trust (NHT).

She has been involved in numerous housing projects across Scotland for nearly two decades and more recently has been involved in advising on new funding and development models including the NHT and Resonance models.

The Chambers UK Guide to the Legal Profession state that Kate "is extremely determined in her efforts to protect her clients" and "she has a terrific eye for detail."
