Beverley has worked with Morton Fraser for over 10 years, having completed her traineeship with the firm in 2002. A member of the corporate team, Bev primarily works in asset and invoice finance and has extensive experience in dealing with leasing and security transactions both north and south of the border as well as employee car ownership schemes, European software leasing programmes, factoring and receivables financing and asset based lending work.
Bev specialises in shipping and aviation deals and negotiates the terms of commercial contracts dealing with the construction, sale and purchase, operation, management and charter of vessels and aircraft. Bev also acts for Lenders and Borrowers in the funding of vessels (under construction and second hand) both in the private and commercial marine and aviation sectors.
During her time at Morton Fraser, Bev has been seconded to the in-house legal team of 3 major UK clearing banks advising on a variety of financial issues and has considerable experience in the retail banking sector. Last year, she was involved in various projects for asset finance companies and banking institutions, updating documentation suites to accommodate the Consumer Credit Directive requirements and the underlying legislation in the UK.
