Who owns Santa?

Posted: Thursday 15 December 2011

With Christmas only a few days away our corporate law team decided to get into the festive spirit.

Download our latest podcast for a fascinating discussion about intellectual property, trademarks, use of classes, and your rights to use names -- all focused around the ownership of Santa Claus. During this lively discussion with Morton Fraser's Austin Flynn, Richard McMeeken and Sam Price, we hear some interesting facts about Santa's origins and why Coca-Cola are widely rumoured to own Santa Claus.  The trio also manage to introduce Tarzan, Tinkerbell, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, Santa Claus Beer, and many other Christmas related topics to the conversation.

So not only will it get you in the festive mood – you’ll learn some interesting facts to impress your friends and colleagues at all those Christmas cocktail parties!
