Agriculture & Rural - Organisations

We go the extra mile

We help clients solve traditional problems and face new challenges.

We act for a diverse client base, with a variety of interests in the sector, ranging from land and estate owners, farmers and crofters to businesses and institutional clients such as the Scottish Wildlife Trust, Scottish Agricultural College and Balmoral Estates.

Our experience covers all agricultural business and rural property issues including agricultural leases, crofting and the purchase and sale of agricultural and rural property. We also assist clients with strategic planning, including tax and succession.

We help clients face the new challenges of climate change and food security and advise on the continuing reforms of agricultural holdings and crofting law. Where appropriate, we enable clients to take advantage of opportunities for diversification, for example in wind farm development and the letting of land for recreational purposes.

You can contact James Rust of our agriculture and rural team.
