Tribunal Award Limits From 1 February 2012

  • “A week’s pay”: up to £430 (gross)
  • Unfair dismissal - Basic Award: up to £12,900
  • Unfair dismissal - Compensatory Award: up to £72,300
  • Additional award: £11,180 to £22,360  (26 to 52 weeks’ pay)
  • Statutory redundancy payment: up to £12,900
  • Breach of contract claims: up to £25,000
  • Failure to consult over collective redundancy:  90 days’ actual pay
  • Failure to inform or consult over a TUPE transfer: 13 weeks’ actual pay
  • Failure to give statement of employment particulars: 2-4 weeks pay (between £860 to £1,720)

Family Friendly Rights From 3 April 2011

  • Statutory Maternity Pay: 90% of pay for 6 weeks then £128.73 a week or 90% of normal weekly earnings (if lower) for 33 weeks.
  • Statutory Paternity Pay: £128.73 a week or 90% of normal weekly earnings (if lower) for 2 weeks of ordinary paternity leave and thereafter 26 weeks of additional paternity leave in certain circumstances.
  • Statutory Adoption Pay: £128.73 a week or 90% of normal weekly earnings (if lower) for 39 weeks.

 

Sick Leave From 6 April 2011

     
  • £81.60 a week for 28 weeks in any period of incapacity for work (PIW) or any series of PIWs spanning a maximum of three years.

  • Religion / Philosophical belief: £6,892 (£5,000 in 2009/2010)

  • Maximum:  £83,000 (£13,942 in 2009/2010)
