Adoption Advice

“ Thank you for your extremely helpful attitude and assistance in this rather tricky case. We are extremely grateful and are very pleased with the outcome.” Private client

Adoption has gained a lot of high profile exposure since 2011, through the release of Government statistics and a feature episode of Panorama, The Truth About Adoption, December 2011.

If you would like to ask questions about any aspect of Adoption, our experts are happy to talk with you and appreciate you may simply be at the earliest stage of exploring the potential of Adoption, or need support through the process itself.

We are also able to assist where a child has been removed from your care and you wish to oppose an adoption or permanence order application.  Our team of specialist family lawyers can also help with issues such as fostering, custody, access to children parental resposibilities and rights.

Adoption issues.
There are complex legal issues and tests to meet in any adoption process. The child’s biological family may still be involved with the child in some way or may have no contact with the child at all. Consideration must be given as to whether the child should continue to have any contact with his/her biological parent(s).

The child’s views can be important, depending on the age of the child. Many decisions regarding the adoption will already have been taken by the Local Authority. As experienced family lawyers, we are able to analyse your situation, guide you through the complexities of the adoption process, and advise you on the likelihood of success, no matter what you are trying to achieve.

Please do not hesitate to contact us for adoption advice in your specific circumstances.
