I’m getting divorced! What next?
Contact our Family Law Team and we will guide you through what can be a complex area of law. There are a number of issues to consider:

  • The actual process of getting divorced. It is a court process and you will need expert advice.
  • Children of the marriage. With whom should they live? What is in the best interests of the child? How will contact with the other parent be regulated? What about school? Grandparents?
  • The matrimonial home. Will you stay in the home? Your spouse? Or should it be sold? If so, what should happen to the proceeds?
  • Other assets such as the family business, investments, savings, cars, holiday homes, furniture, wedding presents etc. Who keeps what? What of family pets?
  • Pensions and policies. How should these be split?
  • Joint bank accounts and credit cards. What of any debts?
  • Should one party be entitled to a larger share of the matrimonial assets than the other? Many different factors can be taken into account.

This is just the tip of the iceberg in many cases. Some spouses own a number of properties in different countries; are in business partnerships; are directors of the same companies etc.

Our Family Law Team’s divorce experts have a proven track record of obtaining good results for our clients in divorce cases. You will have access to one of the largest, most respected and award winning teams of family law specialists.
