Visit visas, which usually last for up to six months, generally involve fewer restrictions than long-term visas for the UK. But they're often just as important - particularly if you have family members or loved ones here. They are also one of the visa categories with the highest rates of refusal, and one the Home Office take the view that someone is not a genuine visitor it can be difficult to make a successful application, so it's important to get it right first time.

How we can help you

Some nationalities do not need to apply for visas in advance of coming to the UK, but they must still satisfy the visitor visa requirements when they arrive in the UK as otherwise they can be refused entry.

We are experts at dealing with visit visa applications, whether you are coming as a tourist, to visit family or for a business meeting. We can help individuals by:

  • Explaining the visit visa requirement and documents that should be provided to the Home Officer, whether you apply in advance or travel on the basis of your passport
  • Providing advice about what activities you can carry out as visitor to the UK
  • Preparing or reviewing visa applications and supporting evidence packs
  • Advising on options if there has been a refusal and you are considering your options
