Later Life Planning & Care

Later life is a natural stage for review: of your income position perhaps and making sure that you can continue to do what you would like to do.

Although you will not want to rush into any decisions, you might decide that you are ready to address certain aspects of later life care, or you may be supporting a relative who is in need of some assistance, and need guidance on how you can best help them.

Areas of expertise:

  • Care at home
  • Care in a residential or nursing home
  • Care planning
  • Financing accommodation and care
  • Inheritance tax planning and passing assets on to your children
  • Pension and estate planning
  • Supporting Grandchildren financially

It can be a sobering thought for many people that they have hit the later life stage, and it is quite often the case that people feel their own mortality more than previously.  Don't let that put you off the planning though, if you can get things set up correctly now, then you can forget about the things which would otherwise worry you.

Our expert team of advisors are much more than simply lawyers to many of our later life clients. From home visits to helping sort mail and identifying the legitimate correspondence from the marketing ploys targeted at the elderly, to sourcing reliable and caring trade’s people to complete repairs in your home. The Morton Fraser Later life Team can support you and your family planning for and in later life.
