It's National Fertility Awareness Week (run by Fertility Network UK). With one of the main aims of the week being to promote and sign-post support, we want to highlight the services that the Family Team at Morton Fraser can offer to people during their fertility journey.

There are estimated to be 3.5 million people in the UK currently experiencing fertility issues. The law surrounding fertility and family creation is therefore an ever growing and important area applicable to so many individuals and families. We recognise that having to navigate the rules and legal processes involved in family creation can be an unnecessary stress during what is often an extremely difficult time. We are here to advise on the various paths to parenthood and assist with any legal issues that arise.

As a team we offer advice on the full spectrum of legal issues involved in creating a family. Issues or questions may arise in respect of the rules surrounding donor conception, in the event of relationship breakdown during or following fertility treatment, the parental rights of donors and in relation to the rules and processes surrounding surrogacy and adoption. We are here to guide you through the full range of legal issues that may arise when creating your family whether that be by way of assisted reproduction (including IUI, IVF and ICSI), donor conception, embryo adoption, adoption or surrogacy.

If you'd like to speak to us about any of these issues, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Family team
