Morton Fraser reappointed to the City of Edinburgh Council's Legal Services Framework

Morton Fraser, one of the largest independent law firms in Scotland, has been successfully reappointed by the City of Edinburgh Council to provide legal services to Lot 1 (Commercial), Lot 2 (Property and Planning) and Lot 3 (Litigation), with an estimated legal spend of around £16.7m.

The firm has been offering legal services to the City of Edinburgh Council since it was first appointed to its legal services framework in 2011.

Jenny Dickson, Chair and Head of the Public Sector Team at Morton Fraser, said: “As one of the largest and most experienced Public Sector teams in Scotland, we have an in-depth understanding of the political, social and commercial challenges facing local authorities. We look forward to drawing on our expertise to advise the Council in the coming years.”

The City of Edinburgh Council’s framework, due to commence 21st December, will be used by 18 other participating local authorities across Scotland and will last for a maximum of four years.
