The National Minimum Wage (Amendment) Regulations 2015 came into force on 1 October 2015, and increase the various National Minimum Wage rates as follows:
£6.70 per hour (+20p) for adult workers aged 21 and over
£5.30 per hour (+17p) for the youth development rate for 18-20 year olds
£3.87 per hour (+8p) for young workers above compulsory school leaving age (16-17 year olds)
£3.30 per hour (+57p) which applies to all apprentices in year one of an apprenticeship and 16-18 year olds in any year of an apprenticeship
Also on 1 October, the Deregulation Act 2015 removed an employment tribunal's ability to make wider recommendations (that may benefit others and not just the claimant personally) in discrimination cases.
