Job retention bonus and claiming under CJRS during redundancy notice period

UPDATE: The Spring Budget confirmed that CJRS is to be extended to September 202.  Accordingly some of the detail in this podcast is now out of date. 

In this week's podcast, Innes Clark and David Hossack discuss the recently announced job retention bonus as well as discussing an issue which has caused significant concern amongst employers - whether an employer can continue to claim under the CJRS during a redundant employee's notice period.

Since this podcast was recorded, the Government has updated its guidance to make clear that an employer can continue to claim for a furloughed employee who is serving a statutory or contractual notice period.
