 Join our training programme leader, Karen McGill, for this half day training course on managing employees with performance issues. 

Our many years of experience tells us that managing employees with performance issues is one of the most challenging workplace issues for employers. In this half day course we will look at the legal framework and provide you with practical tips on handling employees who can't or won't do the job including:-

  • use of probationary periods and the significance of 2 years' qualifying service

  • the key elements of an effective performance management process

  • dealing with difficult conversations

  • tricky issues including attitude issues, patterns of performance improving and then dipping,  grievances, sickness absence, accusations of bias, disability issues and the need for reasonable adjustments during performance management

  • protected conversations: when and how to have them

  • practical tips

  • recent cases

Our courses are designed for business owners, HR professionals, line managers, in-house lawyers and finance team members seeking an understanding of, or an update on, specific selected areas.  All of our courses have a very practical focus, drawing on our many years of experience of advising both employers and employees.  

Maximum group size is 10 delegates to facilitate discussion of worked examples and Q&A.

Cost*

£150 plus VAT per delegate for our 2 hour lunch & learn course (Early bird rate - £125 plus VAT).  

Price includes a copy of the slides and a handout with practical tips. 

 *Early bird rate available for any bookings at least 3 weeks before the course date. 

*10% reduction available for registered charities.

*15% reduction available for second delegate from the same organisation booked on the same course on the same day.

You can book a place by emailing your details to Jennifer Robertson on jennifer.robertson@morton-fraser.com and making the relevant payment via SagePay on our website here, referencing "ELTcourse" (please let Jennifer know if you need us to issue a receipt to confirm payment).

* Payment is required in advance of attendance.

Cancellations more than 10 working days before the course start date will be refunded or an alternative course can be booked.
Cancellations less than 10 working days before the date of the course will not be refunded but delegates can re-book on a course at a later date.
