The EMMAs are hosted by the Forum for Expatriate Management, the online community of International Human Resource and Global Mobility professionals. The awards were created to celebrate excellence in global mobility worldwide, and are the only international accolades that truly recognise industry leaders, business successes and rising stars. The EMMAs take place in three regions throughout the year (Americas, APAC & EMEA) and are independently judged by some of the most highly esteemed professionals in the industry.
This is the second year in a row that Morton Fraser has been shortlisted for the Immigration Provider of the Year award and it is the only Scottish law firm to be included.
Reaching the EMMAs' shortlist builds on the continued success of the firm's Immigration Team which has been ranked at the highest level in the recently launched 2015 edition of the Legal 500 directory, describing the team as "leading experts in business immigration matters".
These achievements demonstrate that Morton Fraser has a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the global mobility industry which boosts its ability to lead the way on delivering innovative solutions and clear advice.
Morton Fraser's Employee Mobility Unit, of which Gordon Kerr is Director, is made up of a team of specialists providing advice and services to meet the needs of the relocation industry; both relocation management companies and international HR departments. This includes the immigration service.
Commenting on being shortlisted, David Hossack, Partner and Head of the Immigration Team at Morton Fraser said:
"We are delighted to be in the running for the prestigious Immigration Provider of the Year award and are notably the only Scottish Provider. We have a fantastic team and credit is due to all of them for a great performance this year. We are all rooting for Stuart as 'rising star'".
This year's winners of the EMMAs will be announced at an award dinner in London on November 6th.
