Morton Fraser, a growing Scottish independent law firm, has been reappointed by the Ministry of Defence (MOD) to provide legal services in Scotland.

The reappointment follows a competitive tendering process and will see Morton Fraser provide legal services to the MOD over the next three years to cover a varied scope of work including litigation, property, employment, planning, environment and debt recovery in Scotland.

The firm is home to one of the largest Public Sector teams in Scotland with over eighty specialists providing expertise to a range of clients including the UK Government, HMRC and the Home Office.

Morton Fraser’s reappointment by the MOD comes after other recent reappointments for the Public Sector team, all by competitive tender, that include the Scottish Government Legal Framework.

The firm has built a strong relationship with the MOD in Scotland, having acted for them for almost twenty years, since 2002.

Chris Harte, CEO of Morton Fraser, said: “We value the strong working relationship we have built with the Ministry of Defence and are very pleased to continue our work for another three years. In a time of unprecedented challenges to public sector organisations, we have a strong focus on the sector and our work with clients like the MOD draws on the breadth of specialist advice we can provide to our clients, from property to claims to employment.”
