Scotland has voted to stay within the United Kingdom. The day seems to have been a long time coming, but, of course, it's not the end, it's just the beginning. The 'No' vote was not a vote to stay as we were but we have been assured a vote to continue the process of devolution.
We now know the direction of travel, but don't know much more about the detail of the journey, nor even the timescale for the final destination. In the interim, while the political negotiations begin, day-to-day life continues. We recognise that future regulatory changes may impact individuals and organisations and, as you look at planning for the future, there may be specific legal implications that you’d like to explore further.
If you'd like to talk through the legal issues, please get in touch with your usual contact at Morton Fraser.
