Morton Fraser has been named as a provider of legal services in Scotland for Curtis Banks, the UK’s largest provider of self-invested personal pensions (SIPP).

The latest appointment for Morton Fraser’s dedicated Property in Pensions Team, the largest of its kind in Scotland, commenced in June 2018. It follows the firm’s selection to the SIPP panel for Rowanmoor, part of the Embark Group, in April this year.

Morton Fraser provides legal advice to numerous pension providers across the UK. It is also the only Scottish independent law firm member of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes.

Fergus McDiarmid, Partner and Property in Pensions Team Lead at Morton Fraser, said: “Curtis Banks is a major player in SIPP real estate provision so we’re thrilled to secure this appointment. This latest success for our team further demonstrates our leading capabilities for providing SIPP and pensions real estate advice in Scotland for highly respected UK-wide firms.

“There has been significant growth in demand for these specialist services in recent times and our team, based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, has over 15 years’ experience in the pensions real estate market, providing the industry with clarity and expert commercial judgement.”

Alexandra Moast, Property Technical Team Manager at Curtis Banks, added: “We’re excited to be working with Morton Fraser, who come highly recommended as a firm in Scotland with extensive experience of SIPP and SSAS property transactions.”
