John regularly advises financial institutions, including the main high street banks and building societies. In particular, he provides strategic and comprehensive advice on mortgage and consumer credit related areas and more generally on product, contract and insurance matters.

John has recently spent time on secondment with one of the UK's leading challenger banks assisting them with delivery of a new leading current account product and advising on specialist FCA regulatory compliance issues.

John supports a number of clients in relation to consumer credit and mortgage regulatory reform. He is an expert in consumer credit law and advises a range of clients on their regulatory compliance with the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and its associated Regulations. He also advises extensively on other financial services compliance issues.
