Ruth McCallister

Director of Key Clients, Business Development, and Tenders

Ruth is a lawyer working with clients and colleagues to help deliver the best service possible for our clients. Her focus is on the public sector, and she manages several of our key relationships. These include Central and Local Government as well as other public sector organisations.

Her remit includes tenders, bids, legal pricing and ESG, and she works with colleagues across the firm on tendering activities and initiatives. She also provides a consultancy service for clients, advising and guiding them when they are tendering for contracts.

Ruth is an experienced account manager, both on Frameworks and call-off contracts.  She leads on contract mobilisation, attends client review and liaison meetings, and monitors and reports on our performance.

Ruth is on the Advisory Board of the Edinburgh Foundation for Women in Law at the University of Edinburgh. The Foundation seeks to address the under-representation of women in senior positions across all branches of the Scottish legal profession and its institutions.

Public Sector Expertise

Ruth is focussed on the public sector and manages many of our key relationships. These include Central and Local Government as well as other public sector organisations. Ruth trained and worked as a commercial property lawyer and so brings this perspective to help us deliver the best service possible to our clients.

Ruth also works with a number of colleagues and contacts at the University of Edinburgh on the Edinburgh Foundation for Women in Law. The Foundation brings together senior women alumni at the Law School to share experiences and best practice from the legal profession on creating the conditions for women to succeed within this field.
