Fiona is an associate in our highly rated employment team based in Edinburgh.

Fiona advises both employers and employees on a broad spectrum of both contentious and non-contentious employment law issues including unfair dismissal, redundancy, discrimination, contractual disputes and settlement agreements.

Fiona has represented both employer and employee clients before the Employment Tribunal and also via the Judicial Mediation process. Fiona also regularly advises employee clients on settlement agreements and negotiates more favourable terms on their behalf.

Fiona also has experience in representing clients facing fitness to practise investigations initiated by their Regulator. Fiona has represented clients in fitness to practise investigations and subsequent hearings before the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health Care and Professionals Council, General Teaching Council for Scotland and the Scottish Social Services Council.

Fiona ensures that she provides clients with clear, practical and proactive advice and always works hard to achieve the best possible results for her clients.

Fiona advises employers across the private and public sectors on a range of employment law issues including redundancy, discrimination and unfair dismissal. Fiona has represented employers at the Employment Tribunal and has also negotiated successful settlements on their behalf.

Fiona also provides employers with advice in relation to non-contentious issues, including contracts of employment and the process of changing terms and conditions of employment. Fiona also assists clients with reviewing workplace policies.

Individuals & Families Expertise

Fiona has experience of advising employees on a variety of different employment law issues including workplace discrimination, redundancy and contractual disputes. Fiona also provides clients with unfair dismissal advice.

Fiona has represented clients pursuing claims at the Employment Tribunal and has secured successful settlements through ACAS and through Judicial Mediation. Fiona also regularly advises clients on settlement agreements and negotiates successful terms on their behalf, helping clients to secure enhanced severance packages.

Fiona also has experience in representing clients facing fitness to practise hearings and investigations initiated by the Nursing and Midwifery Council, Health Care and Professionals Council, General Teaching Council for Scotland and the Scottish Social Services Council.
